“ This place is a GEM! The staff was so great and fun! I loved how interactive and lively the meal was. Each course we had was amazing. I highly recommend coming here for the experience and food! This place is also perfect for special occasions. ”
“ We had a 6:30 PM reservation on a Wednesday and we ended being the only people there. It was nice to have the whole restaurant to ourselves but there was no energy since we were the only ones there and the food came slightly too fast. With that said, the three guys were really friendly and did their best to keep us entertained. I was even able to ask for a five minute smoke break and they let me choose some songs that I liked to be played over the speaker which was nice since I was pretty drunk at this point from the unlimited sake pours and wanted to hear "my music ". The fish was fresh and all 15 courses had enough variation where you didn't feel like you were having the same Nigiri over and over again. A couple of appetizer courses were extremely flavorful, but the problem with that is they overpowered the fish. When I think of Omakase, I think of subtle flavors, most of their flavors were the opposite of subtle which made for a very exciting meal. (the only thing that was missing was Uni of some sort in any of the courses) Overall, a really great meal with a bunch of really fun guys. ”
“ Loved Sushi by me. Location at the basement of the most random place, the experience and the food was worth getting there. The ambience is pretty nice and modern and we had the entire location for an event. The chefs and waiters / hosts are focused on you enjoying your meal but also having as much as possible. Make sure to go on an empty stomach and ready to "enjoy your [][][][]ing dinner" ”
“ GOOD TO NOTE: - Don't attempt to walk in because you will be immediately rejected. - Make a reservation on Resy. [Even if you don't get one right away, keep checking. You might find one just days before.] - They do have a $50 cancellation fee for each reservation - It's a cash only establishment - Only street parking available - best to utilize trains - Unlimited sake - Don't be late! They are very timely. Better to be a bit early - they have tables on the side so you can wait. - Rotate menus on a several months basis. So if you are here from one week to the next, you might be trying the same exact foods. When everyone for a specific time slot arrives, you are moved to the counter seats and that's when the omakase starts. Your first dish is ready and the introduction begins. The food is really delicious. Each course is bursting with unique flavors. The whole omakase session is really a visual (eyes) & sensory (taste buds) experience. I've noticed that since the main chefs are from Thailand, they do incorporate Thai flavors into some courses, which was very unique for an omakase. The best thing about this whole experience is the overall vibe. It's super cool! The staff of this restaurant all try to keep the whole ambience light and fun. The staff are very easy to talk to, make jokes and keep the energy up. They play music so you can jam out while you eat. With the unlimited pour of sake, the whole experience is lit. It's really fun and makes for a memorable times esp if it's a birthday celebration. ”
“ Amazing service and amazing hosts. Ambiance is a vibe and partyful. Unlimited Sake got me stop taking pictures. Food is delicious. I would say it's a fusion of omakaze and south East Asian flavors. Will bring my date here again. Book ahead and bring cash. ”
“ My wife and I had a great time. The experience is very quick (you only sit down for a little over an hour) but the food was very good and the servers are very fun and attentive. We would come back here again. ”
“ Came here for a friends birthday which I highly recommend bc the vibes here are immaculate! They know how to make it fun and just a good time but I must say the fish here was def not the freshest. If you're looking fwd to high quality fish you might be disappointed. They also offer unlimited sake so that enhances the vibe. ”
“ Came here last night and had such a blast. The entrance is a bit tricky since there's no signs, but right before you walk into East 21, there's a set of stairs to the left going downstairs. That's where it is! This isn't your traditional omakase but it truly is such an experience. I spent the entirety of the meal laughing and having such a ball. The fifteen course goes by fast and it truly is unlimited sake, so pace yourself! The servers were also amazing and had such fun energy. If you have visitors coming to NY, I highly recommend this place for great time. ”
“ To celebrate my brother's birthday, we had the pleasure of dining at a remarkable 15-course sushi speakeasy. This hidden gem, with only 12 seats, provided an intimate and exclusive setting that made the evening truly special. From the moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the speakeasy vibe. The entrance was discreet, adding an element of intrigue. Inside, the minimalist decor was elegant and sophisticated, focusing our attention on the culinary artistry that was about to unfold. With our party of 10, we practically had the place to ourselves, creating a cozy and private atmosphere perfect for a special occasion. The omakase menu was a culinary journey like no other. Each of the 15 courses was a masterpiece, showcasing the chef's exceptional skill and creativity. The fish was impeccably fresh, with a variety of rare and seasonal ingredients that tantalized our taste buds. The progression of flavors and textures was meticulously planned, from delicate sashimi to exquisite nigiri, each piece more delightful than the last. The service was impeccable, with every detail carefully attended to. The pacing of the courses was perfect, allowing us to savor each bite without feeling rushed. The presentation of each dish was a visual delight, turning our meal into an artistic experience. The intimate setting allowed us to interact with the chef, who shared fascinating insights about the ingredients and preparation methods, deepening our appreciation for the craftsmanship involved. Adding to the enchantment of the evening was the unlimited sake offering. The "sake boy" was a delightful presence, ensuring our cups were never empty. Each pour was perfectly timed to match the flow of our meal, making the experience all the more enjoyable. This 15-course sushi speakeasy is a hidden treasure that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of exceptional food, intimate atmosphere, and impeccable service created a night we will always remember. For anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an extraordinary meal, this speakeasy is an absolute must-visit. ”
“ The most fun and engaging Omakase you'll ever experience. Talk about fun, raunchy and in your face . One hour experience without having to worry about behavior, matter of fact, the staff wants you to be loud and let loose. I've been to many Omakse around the $100 range but nowhere is this much fun. If you haven't experienced Sushi On Me then shame on you. I applaud the staff there for coming up with a party Omakase concept and I can't wait to be back. In closing, forget your mild mannered Omakase and just let it loose here or at their Brooklyn location. ”
